We are an organization of volunteers offering a second chance
to dogs who would otherwise be euthanized. The special homes providing foster care for the dogs waiting
for an appropriate home must be carefully screened to ensure the dogs have the
best of care.
Fostering a rescued dog is a big responsibility.
You must be able to provide a safe, clean and caring environment for an
animal that will require time for healing physically and/or emotionally.
While in your care, the fostered dog must be crate trained, house
trained, taught basic commands and obedience so that it will have a promising
future as a companion animal in it’s future home.
You must be able to transport the dog to a veterinarian for health care
to include spaying or neutering; and be able to show the dog to prospective
adoptive homes.
K-9 ResQ foster homes are licensed by the State of Kansas,
Animal Health Department. If
approved by K-9 ResQ as a foster home, you will be required to make application
for a Foster Care License and pay the $20 application fee.
If you are able to provide the above, please read this
application, fill in the blanks, sign it, and return it to us.
